Alex Sion

Alex is President of Movenbank and is responsible for management of Movenbank against its business and product strategy. He is based in New York City and has over 18 years of experience in business, technology and marketing strategy for financial services firms.

Prior to Movenbank, Alex led the Financial Services Center of Excellence at SapientNito, one of the leading marketing and technology services agencies in the world. He was responsible for dramatically accelerating the firms growth in retail banking and the retail wealth management sectors and for establishing the firms’ sector strategy and point of view in the market. He served as an advisor on digital strategy and disruption for global leaders like HSBC, TD, Citi, Bank of Montreal, Royal Bank of Scotland, and Barclays.

Alex was also with Citigroup Global Wealth Management where he was a Senior Vice President and part of the management team that conceived and launched myFi which was a new digital business within Citi Global Wealth Management focused on the mass affluent customer segment. At myFi, Alex was responsible for defining and launching the core business/technology platform, client services environment which included both branch and service center advisors, and product distribution strategy. All of these had a heavy focus on digital, multi-channel delivery.

Alex’s career also includes a stint at Capgemini’s where he was on the leadership team of the firm’s Wealth Management practice. There, he was a primary author of the World Wealth Report – an annual sizing and analysis of the high net worth market landscape published by Capgemini and Merrill Lynch.

Alex is a recognized thought leader, speaker and panelist in the financial services space. He has spoken at large financial services conferences such as American Banker, BAI, Finnovate, Forrester Customer Experience Form, and Association of Financial Technologies. He has also spoken at global leadership forums and executive summits for firms such as: Toronto Dominion, Bank of Montreal, Royal Bank of Scotland, Barclays, Regions Bank, BBVA, and Singtel.
