How does CellTrust SecureSMS Gateway work?

Access to SecureSMS Gateway is similar to using a standard SMS gateway. Both secure messages and standard SMS messages are submitted from your application using a set of high-level APIs. Messages received from your organization are identified on the handset by your short code number, keyword or any name that is specified by the mobile phone user in the secure phone book. SecureSMS Gateway offers worldwide coverage independent of your carrier’s SMS coverage area.

Using CellTrust SecureSMS Gateway

Dependant on hosting and management requirements, CellTrust SecureSMS Gateway is available as Software as a Service (SaaS), On-Site Enterprise Server or a Carrier Managed Service.

Software as a Service (SaaS)
SecureSMS Gateway hosted and managed by the CellTrust team is accessed by your network and application over a secure Internet connection such as HTTPS. Performance is scaled via load-balanced server farms, and business continuity is increased by redundant access points to carriers. For additional security, performance and rebranding, a separate instance of the application can be hosted.

On-Site Enterprise Server
SecureSMS Gateway hosted and managed by your organization’s IT team sends and receives messages over your dedicated short code hosted with any supported aggregator or carrier. SecureSMS is also configurable as Circle of Trust with option to specify your own encryption scheme and message archiving for reporting and compliancy. You may request SecureSMS Gateway built to order, or as an appliance and receive a full range of professional services.

Carrier Managed Service
SecureSMS Gateway hosted and managed by carriers offers consumer and enterprise clients with a convenient out-of-the-box experience. SecureSMS Gateway is designed to operate on carrier grade platforms for scalability and availability and may be integrated into carriers' gateway or set up as a stand alone system.
