Scottsdale, Ariz. – April 30, 2014 – CellTrust Corporation, a global leader in secure mobile communication, announced today that it has secured Howard A Schmidt, retired cybersecurity coordinator operating in the Executive Office of the President, as the keynote speaker for Arizona’s first Cybersecurity Summit.

Presented by the Arizona Technology Council in association with member companies of the Council’s Cybersecurity Committee, the event will be held on May 7, 2014 from 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The AZTC Cybersecurity Summit brings together security leaders from diverse industries to examine and share their experience in confronting emergent cyber threats.

During Schmidt’s long and distinguished career in the military, private industry and public service, he also served as a cybersecurity adviser in George W. Bush’s administration and held security positions at Microsoft and eBay.

“This summit is an opportunity for government and business executives to learn about the threats, vulnerabilities, and consequences related to data security and privacy matters,” said Schmidt. “My keynote will focus on having a candid and open conversation on the state of the state of cybersecurity – where we have been, where we are and where we are heading.”

CellTrust CEO and Chairman Sean Moshir will moderate Schmidt’s keynote during the conference program. Moshir will also contribute to the “General Business Concerns Panel’” which serves as a forum to discuss what concerns businesses should have when utilizing the internet for commerce – such as cloud security, secure credit card processing and secure data destruction.

“Arizona is home to a number of market leading companies who are helping organizations around the world secure their intellectual property and data,” said Moshir. “We would like to thank the Arizona Technology Council for making the Cybersecurity Summit possible and are pleased to welcome Howard as the keynote speaker.”

Arizona Technology Council member companies will also showcase their products and services geared toward helping organizations protect intellectual property and customer data. Members of the CellTrust team will be at the summit exhibiting the latest developments within the CellTrust Secure Mobile Communication product suite in booth number 24.
