Assures consistent quality of production software by developing and enforcing world class STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) best practices. Ensure the satisfaction of our customers by demonstrating that existing and new products meet the highest standards of security, reliability, user-friendliness, accuracy and speed. QA Manager supports Engineering and IT departments by validating processes; providing documentation; identifying, correcting errors of developing products. The QA Manager will oversee a team of testers working together to ensure that our products meet their functional and non-functional requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Positive and professional interaction with Developers, System Administrators, Management and other project team members.
- Defines and implements IT quality assurance practices and procedures
- Develops and implements live QA testing methodologies and implements QA metrics.
- Monitor and track all issues.
- Analyze formal test results in order to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
- Test any new software to ensure meets functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications.
- Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and project team.
- Analyzes discrepancies in service or performance and makes recommendations for product or service updates.
- Collaborate with software/systems personnel in application testing, such as system, unit regression, load, and acceptance testing methods.
- Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues.
- Closely working with product management and development to ensure priorities and objectives are aligned with business needs
- Working with product management, development, documentation, and support as part of the full product lifecycle
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- 4+ years of Software QA experience and/or automated testing experience
- 3+ year’s experience working in an Agile SCRUM environment
- Experience in performing all levels of testing including: Functional, UI, System, Load/Stress/Performance, Installation and Regression
- Knowledge in estimating, developing and executing effective test plans for new and existing functionality
- Experience setting QA metrics to measure quality and defects
- Knowledge on STLC, Defect Workflow
Skills
- Ability to work individually and on a team, self-motived with strong work ethic
- Ability to Manage a group of quality assurance analysts who test, evaluate, and validate IT initiatives and identify issues in software or services, reporting on progress, and making wise decisions to adapt plans as things change.
- Positively communicate with Clients, Client Engagement head on different technical and project management aspects
Abilities
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Must be able to type for extended periods of time. (Required)
