CellTrust SecureSMS™Installation Guide
SecureSMS Micro Client can be installed on the mobile device via a number of user-friendly methods. Installation is quick and easy and generally takes only a few minutes. For most major Operating Systems/platforms, a compatible version is available (e.g. J2ME, BREW, BlackBerry, iPhone, Windows Mobile, etc.).
Enterprise Deployment
SecureSMS Micro Client is deployed to enterprise handsets using enterprise mobile management products such as RIM’s Blackberry Enterprise Server ® (BES) or Microsoft Mobile Device Manager ®. The process is initiated by IT staff in the organization.
Direct download from web
Mobile phone users may download the Micro Client from your website, CellTrust website or a carrier mall - where available. The process for downloading from a website is initiated by the mobile user. The handset phone number is entered via a web page and a SMS message is sent to the handset containing the link for the download page. The user will follow the instructions provided with the download link for installation. The process for downloading from a carrier mall is similar to purchasing ringtones or games from carriers. Pre-loaded by carrier or manufacturer
For carriers who are pre-loading SecureSMS on mobile handsets, handset users should contact the carrier to activate the service.
Download from a PC (by using a cable or Bluetooth)
When data connection is not available, mobile handset users or the IT team may use a data cable or Bluetooth communication to install the Micro Client. SecureSMS Micro Client files are copied on to a computer for transferring to mobile devices. Detailed installation instructions are available through CellTrust.
Flash Memory Card
SecureSMS comes pre-loaded on a variety of flash memory or SD cards. If the handset supports flash memory, this would be an easy option to transfer the required installation files onto the handset. The mobile user initiates the process by placing the flash memory in the handset and running the installation program. Please see Flash Memory Instructions for details.

Data plan allows you to go to a website using your phone’s browser. To subscribe to Data plan, contact your carrier. - Supported operating systems/platform
- BlackBerry (http://www.rim.com/products/handhelds/index.shtml)
- Windows Mobile (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile)
- Phones that supports J2ME (Java based phones that can run Java applications) that at least have MIDP-2 profile and CLDC-1 configuration. You may find a list of J2ME phones on this website (http://www.club-java.com/TastePhone/J2ME/MIDP_mobile.jsp).
