SMIM Gateway overview

CellTrust's Secure Mobile Information Management Platform™

Secure Mobile Information Management Technology (SMIM) is a platform that enables you to use the data connection on mobile phones to communicate with an end user in a secure manner. Using micro-client technology installed on mobile phones, content can be personalized based on your customers' location, accounts, and preferences.

The CellTrust API to our SMIM platform enables you to feed different types of data (for example by using Web Services integration) in an application for interaction with your customers. Using the micro-client application, customers can provide feedback in real time or engage in any number of desired responses.

Examples

Bank Account Update
Banks can now communicate securely through SMIM to update the latest transactions in any bank account. Data is transmitted securely to the CellTrust SMIM platform, and in turn communicated to the client application installed on the cell phone. The client application on the cell phone is password protected and saves the data in an encrypted format, enabling only the owner of the data to access it. When sensitive information is at risk, sending the information via SMS is not feasible as it is unsecured and size limits data the mobile handset will accept .

Customized Alerts
Based on preferences set by the user, account alerts can be preset to notify when funds become available or the account crosses a preset threshold. Any number or type of custom alert can be set for your users and sent in a secure format.

Fraud Prevention with Location Based Services (LBS)
CellTrust can integrate Location Based Technology or LBS, to provide advanced services that will match the location of the user with that of the merchant when a charge on a credit card is being applied. If the user and merchant address are not within a reasonable distance, an alert sent to the card owner or credit card company can notify of potential identity theft or fraud.
